Journey to the Core - Fragments from the Subterraneal (2026)
Exhibition text:
This body of work is an exploration of the physical and metaphysical subterraneal world in an attempt to illustrate the interconnectedness of all things through the eyes of stone. Here stone is approached not as inert material but as an active participant in its own narrative and history. Geological 'horizons' act as a methodology where each of the earth's layers become a mineral narrative. The stories within these upper layers of the earth serve as a lens through which to examine and critique dominant framings of the 'anthropocene' and our current circumstances.
