Catriona is an ethical fine jeweller and goldsmith specialising in handmade, bespoke designs using recycled precious metals, repurposed and lab-grown gemstones. Each piece is designed, set, handmade and finished by Catriona Donald in her Leeds studio.

Cat has worked for almost a decade in the jewellery trade and has worked at the bench for award-winning fine jewellers in London and Leeds. After completing an apprenticeship with a master jeweller in Hatton Garden, she wanted to use her knowledge of traditional jewellery making techniques and fine jewellery to make a wearable, accessible and sustainable range of jewellery.

Throughout her career Cat has been questioning the ethics and harmful practices of the jewellery trade. She has done extensive research into safer jewellery making practices and the careful sourcing of precious metals and gemstones to ensure the jewellery she is making aligns with her own personal beliefs on the environment and the fair treatment of people.

She is especially inspired by ancient relics and the unique texture that precious metals have when they have lain undiscovered for thousands of years.

Collection01 is her first collection and is inspired by some of the earliest known cast and forged rings. It is a rebellion against the high-polished, LED lit perfection of the fine jewellery world.

All pieces are made using 100% recycled metals and ethically sourced gemstones.
